We’ve had a busy year! Our Horse Judging Teams participated in contests at: Ft. Worth TQHyA Horse Judging Contest Our Senior team placed 11th out of 60 teams San Antonio SALE / District 10 Horse Judging Contest One Junior Team placed 7th out of 66 teams San Angelo Stock Show One Junior Team placed 2nd out of 66 teams Congratulations to Taylor Kay who placed 1st High Point Individual Junior Houston Stock Show Our Senior team placed 10th out of 190 teams Our Junior teams placed 10th and 11th out of 50 teams Congratulations to Ceslea Pattillo who placed 19th Individual Junior and Taylor Kay who placed 3rd Individual Junior out of 143 Junior contestants and to Kendra Smith who placed 1st High Point Individual Senior out of 614 Senior contestants!!
We attended the AggieFest Horse Judging Workshop. We’ve had participants at the Ft. Worth, San Antonio, San Angelo, Houston and We’ve held arena rides to develop our horsemanship skills. We just held our annual TAMU Horsemanship Clinic, including a HOW presentation by Purina Mills, David Fry, DVM, and Tami Purcell Burkland We’ve also just held the first Play Day in our 2010 Speed Event Buckle Series. We’ve attended the TAMU Horse Judging Camp and the Texas 4-H Leadership Lab. We have big plans for this coming season. Come join us for all the fun!! Our next monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 6th at 6:00 pm at the Johnson City Town Pool and Function Room. We will be holding our Year-End Awards Banquet/Pool Party and inducting our new officers for the 2010-11 season. We will adjourn our monthly meetings for the remainder of the summer, and will reconvene on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 6:30 pm at the Blanco County Fairgrounds-Exhibit Hall, Johnson City, TX We invite all to come and find out what we are all about! |
